Welcome to Stop Wasting Money. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we handle your information, including data collected through advertising services.
2. Data Collection
We do NOT collect any personal data from you directly. All your subscription data is stored locally on your device using Hive, a secure local database. Your subscription data never leaves your device.
However, our app displays advertisements through Google AdMob, which may collect certain data as described in Section 5 below.
3. Information We Store
- Locally on your device: Subscription information you enter manually (service names, costs, renewal dates)
- Not collected by us: We do not collect, transmit, or store any data on external servers
4. Permissions Used
Our app requests the following permissions to provide its functionality:
- INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: To verify subscription information, download fonts (Google Fonts), load advertisements, and enable app functionality
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS, VIBRATE, RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED, WAKE_LOCK: To send you renewal reminder notifications before your subscriptions renew
- READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE & WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: To allow backup and export of your subscription data (only when you choose to use these features)
- CALL_PHONE: To call customer support numbers for subscription cancellation assistance
- com.android.vending.BILLING: To process in-app purchases for premium features (ad removal)
5. Advertising & Third-Party Data Collection
Important: This app uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob and its partners may collect certain information to serve relevant ads.
The following data may be collected by Google AdMob and its advertising partners:
- Device or Other IDs: Google Advertising ID (GAID), App Set ID, device model, and operating system version
- App usage data: Which screens you view and features you use
- Location data (approximate): General geographic region for ad targeting
- IP address: Used for ad targeting and fraud prevention
This data collection is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to this data and cannot control how Google or its partners use it.
6. Ad Personalization
Google AdMob may use the collected data to personalize the ads shown to you. You have the right to opt out of personalized advertising:
- Android: Go to Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization
- You can also reset your Advertising ID at any time in your device settings
If you choose to opt out, you will still see advertisements, but they will not be tailored to your interests.
7. Premium Subscription Tiers
Our app offers premium subscription plans (Monthly and Yearly) to remove all advertisements and unlock advanced features. If you have an active premium subscription, no ads will be shown and no advertising data will be collected. All purchases and recurring payments are processed securely through Google Play Billing. We do not collect or store your personal payment information.
8. Third-Party Services & Libraries
Our app uses the following third-party libraries and services:
- Flutter Framework: Cross-platform app development framework
- Hive Database: Local database for storing your subscription data on your device
- Google Fonts: Downloads fonts on first use (requires internet)
- Google AdMob: Displays advertisements (see Section 5)
- Google Play Billing: Processes in-app purchases
- Provider: State management library
Except for Google AdMob as described above, none of these services collect or transmit your personal data.
9. Data Security
Your subscription data is stored locally on your device in an encrypted local database. Since we do not transmit subscription data to any external servers, your information remains completely private and secure on your device.
10. Data Backup
If you choose to use the backup/export feature, your data will be stored in a location you specify. You are responsible for securing these backups. We do not have access to your backup files.
11. Children's Privacy
Our app does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. Since we do not collect any subscription data, this applies to all users regardless of age. However, advertisements displayed through Google AdMob may contain content that is not appropriate for children.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new privacy policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
13. Your Rights
Since all your subscription data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over your data. You can:
- View all your subscription data within the app
- Delete any or all of your data at any time
- Export your data for backup purposes
- Opt out of personalized ads in your device settings
- Subscribe to premium to remove all ads and unlock all features
- Uninstall the app to remove all data
14. Google AdMob & User Consent
By using this app, you acknowledge and consent to:
- The display of advertisements through Google AdMob
- The collection of device identifiers and usage data by Google AdMob for ad serving purposes
- Google's use of advertising identifiers in accordance with Google's Google Play Terms of Service
